Initial admin login fails on Mac OS X and Embedded Database

Mac OS X 10.5.8

The initial login for “admin” has the “Login failed” message.

I tried reinstalling many times - same problem.

There are no errors in the logs.

It succeeded when I set up a local MySQL instance.

And did you read the announcements at the top of the community. Secondly the embedded db should in all reality not be used. It will work in a pinch but it is rather restrictive when it comes to db management.
