Initial Setup keeps repeating

Hi everyone.

After restarting my chat server today, the system now wants to run through the initial setup. I am not too concerned about this since we are just testing the product at this time, so we can re-create our contact lists.

However, the problem I am having is after I complete the setup and click “Login to Admin Console” I am directed back to the setup page. I am running this on a 10.5.3 server.

Any ideas on things to check?

Hi,

Glad to see you are testing things out in development first.

My guess is that the user that runs Openfire does not have permissions to update the openfire.xml file to set the <setup> flag.

Are you able to see any messages in the Openfire log files on disk?
