Installation will not go away

I’m running openfire on CentOS 6.5. I’ve tried to chown and chmod the /opt/openfire/ directory.

Whenever I restart the service it goes to back to the installer. Luckily it’s stored on a DB so all the accounts are still there.

Help would greatly be appreicated. Thanks in advance!

Which UNIX user account is openfire running as? Does this same user own the /opt/openfire folder? If you did the RPM install, you should not have to modify anything.
