Investigating Openfire/Spark for helpdesk use

Hi, I’m investigating using this messenger for help desk use, but no luck yet.

I can’t seem to connect with spark to open fire on my localhost, the error is 'cannot connect to ‘localhost’ or 127.0.0.1.

Not sure what I’m doing wrong.

My firewall has exceptions for both.

Also I set up the sql script in SqlExpress r 2008 but can’t seem to connect to the db.

Any help would be appreciated, Thank you

Not a boffin yet myself, but I also had this error - I had to go to Server Manager - Edit Properties and change Server Name to that machines IP eg. 172.16.32.5

And now it works.
