Is it possible not download all the roster?

Hello,

Would I like to know if it’s possible not download all the roster?

I need to find a way of cheaply checking:

  1. If the user exists or not.

  2. What is the status of the user.

Without downloading the entire roster.

Any help would be appreciate.
