Is the IM Gateway file gateway.jar not available anymore?

Am I the only person who can not download this file? (gateway.jar) I have been having trouble installing it using any of the methods described…

– Install via WildFire Admin page

– Manual Install (can’'t get the download to work…always come out 0k)

Anyone have any ideas as to why this may be happening?

None of the plugins found here: http://www.jivesoftware.org/wildfire/plugins.jsp OR the beta plugins found here: http://www.jivesoftware.org/wildfire/plugins-beta.jsp seem to be valid files.

*Coincidentally I can not download additional emotes or backgrounds from within Pandion either)

I have checked to ensure my ports are open on my firewall, but perhaps I missed something?

Thanks in advance from your help!

I can download it from here: http://www.jivesoftware.org/wildfire/plugins-beta.jsp. Right klick on the jar file and Save Target as works well.

– Install via WildFire Admin page

As far as I can remember, there is no download link to gateway.jar from the admin console.

– Manual Install (can’'t get the download to work…always come out 0k)

gateway.jar is not an installer. And so, there isn’‘t really such thing as “install”. Once you’‘ve downloaded gateway.jar, place it in the “plugins” directory where you install Wildfire, and that’'s it. The plugin will be available in the admin console in a few seconds.

Also, make sure that you install Wildfire 3.1 beta 2 cause the IM gateways won’'t work on version 3.0. You can download the beta at http://www.jivesoftware.org/downloads.jsp

That is correct, it will only show up there after it’'s hit 1.0. =)

Thanks for the advice guys. I am still only showing a file size of 0k for the download, but I will try it out and see what happens…

::EDIT::

OK, so I installed Beta 2 (v3.1) and it still will not install any of the plugins from the Admin Console, and when I try to download the gateway.jar file, I still get “Connection to Server has been reset.” and no file. I have tried to download this file with so many different browsers, and I am very confused as to what may be causing this. Is there a certain port that needs to be open for the download? I have never had an issue like this before…

There shouldn’‘t be, if you can download things off the web, you should be able to download the gateway plugin. It is a very bizarre situation. I mean I suppose I could try emailing it to you, but that wouldn’'t solve the problem in the long run.

true…very strange situation here…

the weirdest thing is that I am able to update my search plugin fine from the Admin Console…I just want to be able to include IM users that are outside of our domain as well…

I’‘m afraid I really don’‘t know what else to tell you. =/ I’'m out of ideas.

First: At the Moment there is NO WAY to install the Gateway Plugin from the Admin Console

from the Admin Console

Second: If you are on a Linux Box, then you can try it as follow:

OK, so for some reason, it finally decided to work…I still don’'t know exactly what was causing this issue, but thankfully it is resolved…for now. Thus, I am marking this as “answered”.

Thanks for all of the input.
