Are you wanting to run Jive Messenger (a Jabber/XMPP server) on the J2ME platform or are you looking for a Jabber/XMPP J2ME client?
While anything is possible given enough time and money ( ) I’'d say trying to port Messenger to run on J2ME would simply not be reasonably possible. Messenger uses a large number of packages from Java 5 and other libraries which simply do not have a counterpart in the J2ME world, so you would probably end up rewriting large portions of the code base. Assuming you are wanting to run Messenger on J2ME, what do you want to use it for?
