Just installed Spark 2.8.3 on a Win10 box and noticed that the FILE menu does not contain Logout…the only way to close out is to use Task Manager. Running Openfire 3.10.0 on Server 2012R2. Anyone else run into this issue? It doesn’t do this on Windows 7…
Are you sure you have same 2.8.3 version on Windows 7? I would guess that you have old version of Client Control plugin installed in Openfire which causes this.
Sorry…Yes I am using an older version (2.7.0) on Win 7…you are correct.
So maybe it’s an Openfire issue then? We are running behind on that…
I’m guessing you have an older version of Client Control plugin installed on your Openfire server. And you won’t be able to update it as it would require newer Openfire version. Spark 2.8.3 already has some controls in place for newer Client Control version and that’s why some menus are missing now. Unfortunately you only have 3 options: use older Spark, remove Client Control plugin or update Openfire to the latest version.
