LDAP Query's Slow?

Hi All,

Finally upgraded from Wildfire to Openfire today and am noticing some slow performance when checking my LDAP settings:

I have logged into the Admin console and gone to Profile settings, the first query was fast came back successful instantly, the second one is slow, maybe I have a bad query?

Step 2/3:

sAMAccountName

(objectCategory=Person)(objectClass=user)(memberOf=CN=Jabber Users,OU=Security,OU=Groups,OU=MYDOMAIN,DC=MYDOMAIN,DC=local)(!(userAccountCont rol=66048))

Anyone have any ideas as to why it might be slow? Thanks.

After reading around I got my setup working by changing the LDAP port.

Can anyone explain why changing the port from 389 default to 3268 the Global Catlog Query port? is making a big difference?

I assume the “Profile tests” that are in the admin console are using port 389 fine? Is it bad syntax and it is stricter on the 389 port? I would prefer to use 389 if posible and so am curious as to why it doesn’t work:
