Limit the number of registrations

I wanted to ask if it is possible to limit the amount the users which can register on my jabber server.

I wanted to test it in a live environment however to stop using my server too much I wanted to tell wildfire only allow 50 accounts so I can see if it still works good with my hardware.

Is that possible?

Yes and no. Out-of-the-box there isn’'t a way to configure Wildfire to only allow a defined number of users to register. However, what you can do is once 50 users have registered you could disable “Inband Account Registration” (in the Admin Console navigate to Server → Server Settings → Registration & Login) which would prevent people from continuing to register.

You can get notifications via xmpp messages or mail when someone registers by using the registration plugin to simplify that.
