I am currently trying to integrate chat load testing into a VoIP capacity lab environment. I have tsung successfully installed and working on this lab, which works quite well by the way… While there is the normal run something until it breaks type of testing, we also do extended test runs in a “normal” environment: aka, not running things at maximum capacity. I have searched around looking for any numbers that might exist about what the average chat user does. Does any one have any advice for things like, How many users that are configured are up in service at any time, how often they might chat etc?
I would like to take these types of numbers and build tsung configuration that I could run along with my existing telephone traffic.
Any help or a point in the right direction of some place to further look would be greatly appreciated!
