I would like to know how to do maintenance on a database that have the 40gb with openfire it must reduce this database in my MSSQL.
I am not doing log of conversations and even then the bank has grown.

If you are not doing conversation logging, then it must be somthing else. Do you use Monitoring plugin? What about your Offline Message storage? Server > Server Settings > Offline Messages. Also Pivate Data Storage can take some space.
Also, what is the size of your userbase? And how much did it actually grow, i mean what was the initial size of the DB after you have launched it? How many users or groups or chatrooms were added since?
Maybe such size could be a normal thing with your setup. Personally i dont know of a maintenance option for the Openfire database.
