Maximum concurrent connections?

I want to know the Maxinum concrrent connections. Please do not consider the hardware and the OS enviroment, because i can improve the hardware and install any OS. I just want to know the limit of wildfire. Who can help me? Thank you very much.

Rumours are that in its current condition, Wildfire probably won’'t scale above 15,000 concurrent users.

Jive Software recently started the Pampero project, which will dramaticly improve this number. First results are expected in a couple of months. You can find more information in the Pampero forum.

The 15,000 is an estimate, which I base on various messages on this forum. It’'s by no means an absolute (or even correct) number. As far as I know, no-one ever published attempts to go over 10,000 users.

Actually, according to Matt in url=http://www.jivesoftware.org/community/thread.jspa?threadID=18275this thread[/url] there has been a least one instance of Wildfire successfully scaling to 20K concurrent users.

If you need a solution now, you can take a look at other Jabber servers. There are proprietary, as well as open-source solutions that are contructed to scale very high. Here’'s a list of other server software: http://www.jabber.org/software/servers.shtml
