Message buffer in Spark 2.5.6 Linux

Hi all:

I am using the Linux version of Spark 2.5.6 and after I entered a message, the message gets put in my paste buffer so when I tried to paste something, it gets pasted instead when I had in the buffer initially.

Is this a bug or a feature? I find that a bit annoying when my paste buffer gets overwritten without me requesting it. Is there a way to turn this off?
