I had this problem in Spark with older version of Openfire\Monitoring Service plugin before. Not with 1.7.x version. Now with Openfire 4.4.0/1.8.0 the issue is back (specifically when connecting to Ignite’s Open Chat room). I often see messages randomly shuffled both in Spark, Pade, Xabber. Some work is still planned to be done on Monitoring plugin?
Is this only when retrieving the message history (upon join), or does this also affect “live” messages.
Could you use the debugger to see what the order is in which messages are sent from the server to your client?
Usually on retrieval. But sometimes also live. When i was talking about soccer the other day, your replies came out of order.
