Migrating openfire 3.5.2 to 3.6a Database

Is there a shortcut how can i migrate my database table names from 3.5.2 to 3.6a ?

i saw that there are changes in table names of the new version in spark.

mine did converted fine by just running the installer for 3.6.0a. I would do a backup first. I also feel I should mention depending on confiuration it could take several minutes to complete.

As Todd mentions, doing a backup is essential. You can manually try the database upgrade, by first stopping openfire. Then look in the resources/database/upgrade folder for your type of database. 3.5.2 should be running version 16, so you would want to manually run the 17 then 18 then 19 then 20 scripts by hand. Watch the output carefully for any errors. Then upgrade openfire.

Thanks for posting some comments… still the same im having a hard time with tables… so i did is to stay with the 3.5

its all the same with 3.6 hehehe minor changes only… hehehe!

If you having problems with the upgrade, you may want to see what you have for the entry ‘name openfire’ under ‘version’ in the jiveVersion table - it should be 16. If it earlier, it looks like a previous upgrade failed.

Where you able to solve the upgrade problem from 3.5.2 to 3.6.0a?
