Moving documentation from "HTML" to documents?

Would it make sense to open editing of the documentation - or at least commenting below - also for the users? We already have some valueable community documents [Openfire Proprerties, …] so I wonder whether this would make sense. Some of the docs are quite old / outdated, getting direct feedback should help to keep them up-to-date.

Copying the content is easy, tagging and link updating not. So this is not a 5-min task.

Not the editing. As about comments, it is ok for small docs with only one or few things described. If it is something like Openfire Properties, when it can quickly become a mess when people start to ask questions about different things. Comments section is not suited to keep up with several discussions.
