We are on Spark 3.0.2. Will there be a new Spark version that supports the latest version of Java soon?
Spark is currently unmaintained, it is not under active development.
However, what is the issue/error you get when you try to use Spark with the latest version of Java? Bytecode should be forward compatible (I believe Spark is compiled with Java 11).
In other words, Spark shouldn’t require updating in order for it to work with a newer version of Java.
Edit: I realised saying “not under active development” is a little misleading, to the best of my knowledge it still gets bug fixes, but there is no regular commits unlike other projects like Openfire.
