New Subscription Plugin

Hi All,

Just in case you missed Matt’'s post in the News section, a new subscription plugin is available that allows subscriptions to be automatically accepted or rejected by Wildfire. This plugin is useful in environments where users maybe unclear on how to send or accept subscription requests or conversely, when a Wildfire admin wants to “lock down” users contacts. One nice feature of the plugin is that it has the ability to create a “white list” of users who are allowed to maintain control over their own subscriptions regardless of how the plugin is configured.

The full details are available in the plugins’’ readme file.

Enjoy!

Ryan

I’'ve been having a problem where this plugin unloads and reloads itself. This plugin is perfect for our environment so it is really missed when it does this. Restarting the server seems to temporarily help but it acts up again in a few days.

I’'ve noticed this ever since upgrading to wildfire 3.x

Are there any incompatibilities with 3.x and the subscription plugin?

Wildfire: 3.0.1

Subscription: 1.0.0

Keep up the great work!

Hi azink,

I’'m not aware of any incompatibilities between Wildfire 3.x and the subscription plugin. Are you seeing any other log items that look like they might be related to the plugin?

Thanks,

Ryan

My bad, shouldn’'t have been marked as a question to begin with.

Nope, nothing else relevant.

These were in the Warn and Debug logs. It appears to work when it’'s loaded, but then it unloads itself every 63 seconds exactly. I will enable further debugging when I restart the service tonight and let you know what I find.
