Hell there everyone, I am new to the jabber world so please excuse the basic questions. I have read the forums, but couldnt locate my question.

Is there a way to set it up you users are not logging in as user@server?

The users already log in to Windows and other apps as user@domain.loc, but the only way I can get a connection is with user@ipaddress or user@server

I would prefer that they could log in with user@domain.loc

In the Jive Messenger admin console, go to the Server Settings page. You should see an Edit Properties button at the bottom of the page. Use that to change the Server Name to just your domain.loc.
