Dear openfire development team. My question is regarding openfire’s clustering plugin. What i am looking to do is cluster a pair of openfire servers in a primary/secondary setup so that if the primary drops (through hardware failure or networking), the secondary server kicks in via automatic failover - pretty basic stuff. It seems that this used to work via the enterprise plugin which has now been discontinued but now my only option in a windows environment is to pay 4000 dollars to oracle for a coherence license which kind of goes against the whole idea of open source code. For a company like ours with around 500 employees on either side of the atlantic, lines and links can drop and therefore this is a vital part of the IM infrastructure for us. Can you tell me if there will be a fix for this in the upcoming version of openfire (3.7.1)? I seen something about it in the bugs fix list.
