Openfire Installation - Strophe.js Stuck on Connecting

I recently installed Openfire onto my server (Hostgator VPS if that matters) and I had the staff @ Hostgator open up the necessary ports (9090,7070).

I am using a standard mysql database on the servers and enabled the BOSH as well as enabling:

Enabled - Allows BOSH clients with limited access to connect to the server

Below are my Server settings:

Server Properties
Server Uptime:
1 hour, 13 minutes – started Oct 6, 2011 6:08:50 PM
Version:
Openfire 3.7.0
Server Directory:
/opt/openfire
ServerName:
domain.ca
Environment
Java Version:
1.6.0_22 Sun Microsystems Inc. – Java HotSpot™ 64-Bit Server VM
Appserver:
jetty/7.0.2-SNAPSHOT
Host Name:
wis.domain.ca
OS / Hardware:
Linux / amd64
Locale / Timezone:
en / Central Standard Time (-6 GMT)

Whenever I try to connect via strophe.js it just sits at: Connecting

I have spent the last 5 or 6 hours trying to figure this out but I have no idea what kind of settings are wrong. I have tried all kinds of variations of the domain name & host name settings, using IP addresses etc. I have read forums trying to help figure out this but am unable to get this to work.

I am open to paying someone via paypal to fix it for me as long as the price is reasonable.
