OpenFire + MS Active Directory multiple groups

I have OpenFire server configured to authenticate users via MS Active Directory. I have set up Contact List (Roster) Sharing to one group specially created for spark server in order to make all users appear in everyone’s Contact List. Issue is that all users are in one big pile. What may be a way to group them on department basis? ( IT group should contain all IT Dept users and etc.)

Create the groups you need in AD, then share them via Openfire.

can you be more specific. not the AD side, but OpenFire side

It is no different that the other shared group you already have. Create a group in AD, Then once that group is replicated to Openfire share the group under the groups tab. The next launch of Spark will add the groups to the user’s roster.
