i’‘ve installed openfire on a linux machine but when i try to log in as an admin or re-complete the setup process, i keep getting taken back to the openfire setup page. any ideas what’'s causing this?

If the setup is otherwise working, you can add tags. Also make sure that the web user has permission to edit the config file.

it’'s usually a problem with the permissions of conf/openfire.xml and probably with the whole openfire directory. If it still belongs to root you are likely not able to write the file after setup.
