i’m currently load testing openfire with tsung. my current problem is simple: openfire dies.
normally openfire runs with multiple processes on my 8-core server. all is well. when my test progresses (starting with 16k connected users) “top” only reveals a single openfire “/usr/bin/java -server -Dinstall4j.jvmDir=/usr -Dexe4j.moduleName=/opt/openfire/bin/openfire …” process on a single core with 100% cpu time. From this moment on the admin gui doesn’t respond anymore and “openfire status” says: the demon isnt running".
It’s a basic installation without plugins.
