I have openfire installed in a windows 2003 server as a services. The service has been setup to start in an automatic way, but it starts and then stops. If I force an start, it launchs and then a windows dialog pops up
The openfire service on Local Computer started and then stopped. Some services stop automatically if they have no work to do, for example, the Performance Logs and Alerts service.
The service worked ok last week, when I installed it, but after a long weekend, that message is shown.
I’ve just re-installed the application, but I´ve not rebooted the machine yet. Openfire´s logs didn´t seem to say anything about the issue, nor Windows´ event log.
Let´s wait until next system reboot to see what happens. Thanks for your help.
I experience the same. I cannot re install it through the installer since I decided to go without.
My pre existing conf was
Java : jdk1.6.0.26
MySql
Apache2
so I manually unzip the files
Everything goes fine when I start the server through the .bat available in ressources folder but evertime I try to start it as a service it fails… anoying.
