Organising Groups while using LDAP

Hi all,

Up until now I’'ve been testing Wildfire using manually created users & accounts…

It would be handy to have the users linked to our Active Directory instead (so we only have to maintain 1 user list), but before I try to get this happening using LDAP i have a question…

Once setup using LDAP, is it possible to control the user Groups like i currently do with manually created users? Or would groups now be controlled by the Active Directory settings?

At the moment, LDAP integration is read-only. That means you have two choices:

  1. Pull users from LDAP, but continue to let Wildfire handle groups. That means you could create and organize groups in Wildfire.

  2. Also pull gropus from LDAP, but that means you’'d need to administer them in LDAP.
