Perference window does not open version 2.6.3

I recently updated to version 2.6.3 and I am not getting notified when my contacts has notified me. I tried opeing the perference window to change notifiction option but on select it that window does not open (Spark>>Perference). Is there a hotfix to remedy this, or can I change this feature somewhere else?

Try deleting the spark.properties file in

C:\Documents and Settings\User\Application Data\Spark or

C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\Spark

and then start Spark, login and try opening the Preferences. You will lose all of your settings, which are stored in this file.
