That is because I’m installing Openfire 3.4.5 and OpenLDAP and I’ve the same problems. Users can login and logout to the server, but after login, they don’t see the status updates of other contacts in the buddy list. I’ve tested it with different programs: pidgin, spark, meebo… and it remains.
The only thing that helped me is this thread:
But this is a patch, not a solution. Can anybody test it and help me with this issue?
