Problem with connecting to sqlexpress

I am unable to connect to sql express using openfire, what am I missing?

Below is my connection string ( I have my real hostname where it says hostname).

I have created a login called fred, gave fred db_owner rights, and I’m able to login through SQL Management Studio.

The sql instance and openfire are on the same box.

This really does not help you, but you may wish to use MySQL instead of SQL lite due to limitations of the database software.

actually I added Add Instance=SQLEXPRESS to the end of the Database URL…

and it’s all good thanks!

just takes some searching I guess.
