Is the “.” an obstacule?
What characters are allowed in admin username?

a ‘’.’’ is not a problem - I’‘m using the embedded database. Do you have success with a user without a ‘’.’’, or do you use LDAP or an external database for authentication?

I am using external database. Actually, I have a software that it principal functions ia create a webmail service like yahoo, hotmail, etc… so in the usernames the . _ - @ ares present.

‘’@’’ will be tricky as it is not allowed in the username and one must escape it.
