I am having trouble connecting to several other servers since the mandatory encryption day yesterday. (amongst others jabber.org, einfachjabber.de,…)

I just keep getting errors like this in the logs:
2014.05.20 07:42:12 org.jivesoftware.openfire.server.ServerDialback - ServerDialback: OS - Ignoring unexpected answer in validation from: jabber.org id: a67d1d39c45f164a for domain: lordvan.com answer:<stream:features xmlns:stream=“http://etherx.jabber.org/streams”></stream:features>
and someone from jabbe.org told me they get this in the logs:
2014-05-20 07:26:47 xmppd 30904 (root ) D-MLink-Auth SID-10037074 TLS not active for lordvan.com, rejecting connect (TLS required in peer control) from server
any ideas how to sort this out?
https://xmpp.net/result.php?domain=lordvan.com&type=server gives s2s a A- rating but it still won’T work …
Maybe it has to do with https://igniterealtime.org/issues/browse/OF-405 ?
