Project Status?

I’ve been excited to use Asterisk-IM since we’ve been using Openfire but we really need the feature described in http://www.igniterealtime.org/issues/browse/PHONE-56 before we can start using it. Unfortunately, no work has been done on that issue.

I guess my real question is; what’s the status of the Asterisk-IM project? It doesn’t seem like any of the issues in the tracker have been completed in any recent time frame. If it is no longer supported or at least, under active development, it’d be nice if someone let us all know.

Asterisk-IM is under development. Currently the focus on making sure it works with latest versions of Asterisk as well as with the clustering in the upcoming Openfire 3.4.0.

You are correct that there hasn’t been much work on adding new features recently. If you would like to contribute just drop me a note.

Well Asterisk-IM is under development. Currently the focus is more on

keeping it up with latest Asterisk versions and making sure it will work

in a clustered environment of Openfire 3.4.0.
