Pushing forward progress on XIFF

Sean, There is a team of us at the moment that is heavly using XIFF and have a few bug want submitting (I have submitted one recently via a disscusion). Also we need to extend it for XEP-0128 (don’t think is implmented yet right?). Please can you allow use SVN access so we can effectivly contrubute to the project? Thanks

Hi,

I can hook you guys up with Jira access to more effectively track your patches and tickets. Could you provide me with your Jira account names?

daryl

Hi Charlie,

Can you send me a direct message with the names and e-mails of people on this team? I don’t control SVN access myself. I would need to put in a request with someone at Jive.

If it’s just a few bug fixes, however, I can certainly submit and review the patches after June 12. Once summer hits and my finals are over I’ll have time to review everything.

Thanks,

Sean

hi here is our Jira accounts:

charfire
mikeycmccarthy
cfury
conradw
nidot

Thanks

P.S. There is one more but he is at the gym will get back to you if he gets back alive

Sean, Done… Apart from some bug patches (will log it)… cfury is looking at putting XEP-0128 into XIFF (part of it is available with Form Extension) as openfire is giving this info. Think she has a master plan to extend Browser, guess she will update when ready…
Charlie

Perhaps the following patches could be applied:

http://www.igniterealtime.org/issues/browse/XIFF-40

http://www.igniterealtime.org/issues/browse/XIFF-45

in that order.

Thank you.

Thanks! All of you will need to sign the Developer Agreement and submit it before I can go much further. Instructions are available here: http://www.igniterealtime.org/community/docs/DOC-1733

In fact, anyone submitting patches at all is supposed to have signed the agreement.

Then I’ll see about SVN. It may be better for one point person on your team to have access to the central repository, and then you can manage your changes internally from there … I’m not sure about Jive’s preferences and best practices there.

Hey Sean,

I’m actively working with XIFF again and was wondering if your offer to get SVN commit access was still on the table.

I’ve made some local tweaks to the code and am currently working on adding some additional extensions based on the XMPP extensions that I think many people could benefit from.

Thanks,

Mark

Hi Mark - we’re in the same boat so if you could private message me any updates that would be great. There are a few XEPs we really want to implement including pubsub and invisibility - it would be handy not to end up writing the same code

Michael

Sounds good Michael.

If you could do the same, that would be great!

I started working on Jingle.
