I updated to 3.4.4, but when I went to the Admin console, I received the server setup page.
What I found is the Permissions on the Openfire folder, and Conf folder in the Openfire folder had changed. The check marks for execute had been removed, and the Write permission for Group and Others had been added. I added the Execute permission to all and removed the Write permission for Group and Others, and applied ‘Set group,owner and permissions recursively’. octal = 755 for both folders.
Then restarted the service and checked the status via Putty, then went back to the Admin console and was able to login normally.
I am not sure why the folder permissions would change after an update, any info on this would be appreciated,
