Is it possible to add groups to rooms, so that member lists of rooms are mapped to these group’'s members?

Active Directory/LDAP is my interest on this question.

I too would like to see this feature.

It is crazy to have to build individual users into room member lists instead of using groups.

I don’'t use Active Directory/LDAP so I am currenty adding users to each group and also adding them to the group chat room.

This is a great request and one that we have actually seen before - JM-438 - you can vote for the issue to raise its priority, and also watch it to know when it has been implemented.
