Hi. I am installing Openfire 4.5 in Ubuntu 18.04 and meaning to use non-SSL/TLS LDAP connection for the users and group as it’s only a lab setup. I don’t know if it’s still supported because although there is a drop down option for ldap URI (non-ldaps), the configure wizard / setup will always go back to ldaps URI. Is it not possible to use plain ldap://:389 anymore?
this is a known issue. It should be fixed in the nightly builds if you want to give it try.
