Setup in a Workgroup

Hello,

Can anyone direct me to some more detailed setup documentation.

I have just installed openfire 3.5.2. We only employ a workgroup so i was hoping to connect to the server via the IP address. We used an older version of Wildfire and this worked adequately.

I am unable to get this to work with the rev of Openfire though. We are mostly using Pidgin 2.x.

Under a workgroup setting what do i put in the Pidgin setup for Domain?

In my Server Properties the Server Name is the IP address of the machine it is running from. 192.168.x.x

I figured it out. In my case of a workgroup the domain would be jabber.192.168.15.x.com using the system’s ip address.
