Show name instead of username when using ldap authentication

Hi,

I have made spark look up the ldap entires, how do you make spark to display the name on the contact list instead of username by default?

Hi James,

are you using the LDAP-vcard plugin?

If you are, i had the same issues… and also it didn’'t like looking up the avatars embedded in LDAP because they were objects. I think the plugin is promising but needs some more work.

In the end I just scripted an import of VCARD data from LDAP into the jabber server database. which worked well… I still use LDAP for authentication with this conf:

Below is my vcard mapping. I’'m trying to get the avatar working. Would this example work? It uses an external link to find the jpeg. It seems that wildfire does not support this.

Will this happen soon?
