Spark 2.6.3 user shows offline

I have a user who shows up as being offline when he is online.

I have had him log out and log back in, reboot his computer, and I have reinstalled Spark.

I have compared his settings to mine and they are identical.

Any ideas?

Hello David,

This is a new feature of the Spark that allows users to go offline for a group or contact.

Option in “preferences” Spark there is an item called “privacy” plugin.

Verify that the user in question has made changes in this menu item.

kind regards,

Patric Gonzaga

Thank you, Patric,

I checked this setting. The message there says “Privacy lists are not supported by server” so apparently our organization has that feature disabled.

Also, I did try right clicking on all four options, and they do not work.

Cool David.

Did you check that the correct client on the PC? In Spark …

Here in my network even blocking the server, the user can get “offline” as it is a feature of the client. I’m looking for ways to disable it!

If by client you mean the correct version of software, yes. We are all on 2.6.3

Have you tried restarting the server? If you are using shared groups, try removing this user from a group and add back. To rule out the privacy settings issue, you can try stopping his Spark, rename C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Spark\ to say C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Spark-old on his computer and then start his Spark and enter his credentials. It will make Spark start with a fresh profile. If it helps, then he has something messed up in the privacy.
