Otherwise, can you tell me where I find instructions for installing Spark patches, please?

Tim says here (http://community.igniterealtime.org/message/222959#222959) that he is still working on the patch. So far no changes have been applied to the trunk, so no easy way for testing. There are no patches in the form of installer package. All patches are source patches which should be applied to the source and compiled, which could be a bit complex. After compiling you can take the new spark.jar file and replace it in your Spark installation directory and hopefully it will work. Then you can do it for all users. But this is still “work in progress” so i can’t advise doing it in production.
