Spark 2.7.(0 or 1) beta or Spark 2.6 with JRE 7 On Windows? How and where?

I’ve search everywhere and have seen lots of talk of Spark on Spark running with a newer (or the newest) version of JRE, BUT in ALL those places where I see talk of people doing it, no one mentions HOW or WHERE.

Here for example they are talking about the EXACT problem I’m having (and what I would like to solve in using a newer version):
http://issues.igniterealtime.org/browse/SPARK-1167

I’m running Windows XP, 7, and 8 machines. Where can I get a beta release?
Can I just replace my JRE files that Spark comes bundled with, with newer ones? And if so, how do I do this?

I feel like such a noob in asking this, but I’ve searched and searched and found no info on what I would like to accomplish.

Thank you in advance for any and all help in the matter.

Here’s the latest nightly build (605) http://bamboo.igniterealtime.org/artifact/SPARK-INSTALL4J/JOB1/build-605/Install 4j/spark_2_6_3_12555.exe

This build is on Java 7 and shouldn’t have focus stealing issue (of course if you don’t have Java 6 installed on the system, in that case Spark still uses system’s Java 6). If you inspect this url, you can see where you can find newer builds as fixes are applied to the source.
