Spark does not fully quit

We are running Spark 2.5.8 on Kubuntu 8.04 and 7.10. When you close out of the program it does not fully close the JRE it runs in. Because of this a person can close down the front-end but never actually log out. Any ideas?

Hi,

do you really close Spark or do you hide it in the task notification bar as an icon? On Windows clicking “X Close” does minimize it, selecting “Spark, log out” logs one out. If there is no task notification bar visible you may really “lose” the still running application.
