Spark JID/LDAP problem

(Cross-posted from Spark Support)

We are currently using the Spark client to connect to our Wildfire server, which is getting its usernames from our AD via LDAP.

In Spark, initially all of the users showed up with the proper username, FirstName LastName. If you moused over the user, the card would show the username and the JID, username@im.carcomm.com/spark

Now, for some reason, some of the users are showing up in some of the IM clients as the JID, not the username. If you mouse over the users, the card shows the JID listed under username as well as listing it under JID.

Is there some setting I am missing? We are using current versions of both Wildfire and Spark.

Hey Marcus,

The issues JM-591 and JM-590 were fixed and could explain the problem you were seeing. Wildfire 2.5.1 will be released tomorrow (or today depending on your time zone) so you should try it. BTW, you may need to remove from the database (jiveRoster table) those invalid roster items. Let me know if you need any help with that.

Regards,

We’'ll try and install 2.5.1 when it becomes available and see if it fixes the problem. Thanks!
