Spark Log Audit Files not Updating in real time

I was noticing that the log files of chat conversations on the local computer don’t update in real time. Basically what I’m looking to have happen is when someone sends me a message the log file found in C:\Documents and Settings\user\Spark\user\user@jabber\transcripts update as I’m chatting to the person. As of right now those files are only update if the chat window is closed in a proper fashion. This means that if Spark or the computer crashes those files never get updated. Is this a known issue? Is there a way to fix this?
