I am logged in as an administrator to Spark Openfire Version3.10.0, when I find the user I need to do a password change for, it will not allow me to do that. It is telling me that it is read only. Can anyone tell me how to get past the read only?

There is no “Spark Openfire”. The server is called Openfire. If it says that user information is read-only, then you are probably pulling your users from AD. So you have to change the password in AD.

I changed it in AD, that would still not allow the user to login. So I thought I should be able to make the change in Openfire as an administrator.

After you have changed it in AD, have you changed it accordingly in Spark on the login window?
