Is there a way to turn off spark update notifications? Our users do not have local admin rights and therefor cannot upgrade spark without an admin granting priveleges. Is there a way to stop spark from reporting or checking for updates?
There is a plugin for openfire called Spark Manager. This plugin allows you to control what version of Spark is deployed. If you set it to the lowest version deployed, you will not get any more notifications.

I believe next Spark release (2.5.9 may be out next week) will have an option to turn off updates checking. SPARK-700
