SSL and AD - Cannot Logon after Cert applied

I have followed the SSL guide from http://www.igniterealtime.org/builds/openfire/docs/latest/documentation/ssl-guid e.html, but every time I complete the openfire install with SSL configuration, I cannot sign on as either administrator or user.

Using Openfire 3.6.4, Spark, Active Directory.

What can I provide to you to help me determine what is going worng?

Is Openfile compatible with SSL? If not, how do I stop transmitting AD passwords in clear text thru the network?
