Suddenly no ldap authentication!

Dear Sirs,

We have had an Openfire 3.6.4 with OpenLDAP authentication running fine for years. Suddeny, since this morning, no connection was possible anymore, even from Console Admin. The server, a Linux Red Hat, was booted, the PostgreSQL BD is up, several other application are being authenticated by the corporative OpenLDAP and is possible to do a LDAP search from the Openfire server (linux command line).

We have tried several clients: Pidgin, Spark, Pandion, Psi (see log from XML Console bellow). The responses are the same: Authentication Error: wrong username or password.

Maybe there is a new configuration to be done on the ofproperty table, something too subtible at first view.

Can someone help us? Thanks a lot!

The problem root was found: the Openfire’s admin user account was erased from the OpenLDAP. Some misoperation during the weekend…

Best regards,
