Currently if you have two tabs and you are talking to one. When you receive a message from the other tab, the other tab will become red. This is not enough. Please make the tab blinking and maybe the taskbar blinking too if you have time.
If blinking tab is not possible, please allow the users to change the preference whether they want tabs or not.
